Mr. Zhao: discharge, settlement and report handover (anonymised)

This is a process note, not a medical result. Mr. Zhao was with his wife on discharge day. The windows were more scattered than on the clinic day. Names are removed.

What was hardest

Settlement, medicine, copied notes and imaging were not at one counter, and not in the order he expected. He feared leaving a disc behind, and forgetting a follow-up date that had only been said aloud.

The order that day

The confirmation listed escort hours for discharge. It did not say every hospital step was included. The escort checked with the nurses' station which steps were open, then went to settlement. Hospital charges were paid at the hospital window. Leyitong did not collect them and did not add a margin. Medicine and record-copying were separate queues. He checked the drug names himself.

Reports and scans

Paper reports and copies available that day were counted with him. One test was not ready until the next day. The handover list said so, instead of treating it as collected. The follow-up date was copied from the discharge note the doctor had written. Leyitong did not rewrite orders or issue a medication plan.

Before they left

He held the receipts, the reports that were ready, the imaging copy, and a handover list with the follow-up date. Errands that were not on the sheet were not billed. Later review visits were not part of this discharge sheet.
